We’re making great progress on the construction of the Malabar Headland Western Escarpment Walking Track, a track which will provide a direct connection between South Maroubra and Malabar Beaches.
Council have been working with National Parks and Wildlife Service and Fleetwood Urban Pty Ltd for the past month to install an on-ground trail, boardwalks, access structures, stairs and other landscaping works.
With a need to move several heavy items across the Park, and a desire to protect the flora and fauna that exists here, it was decided the best way was to transport supplies was by helicopter, craning in water tanks, ballast and building supplies with the help of specialist team, Helicopter Lifting Services.
