In 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Amazon Prime Video launched a bold experiential marketing campaign to promote the release of the Borat film in Australia. The activation centred around transporting and installing a giant Borat sculpture in one of the country’s most iconic public locations—Bondi Beach.
Our helicopter lifting team was engaged to deliver a high-impact aerial advertising and logistics solution, flying the oversized sculpture from the NSW Central Coast down the Sydney coastline. The flight path was carefully planned to maximise public visibility, creating widespread attention as the helicopter carried the unmistakable Borat figure past beaches, headlands, and densely populated areas.
Upon arrival at Marks Park, the operation required precision lifting and expert rigging to safely position the sculpture onto a purpose-built plinth overlooking Bondi Beach. With media crews, fans, and onlookers gathered below, the installation was executed seamlessly, delivering a powerful visual moment that amplified campaign reach across social media and news outlets.
This project demonstrates our expertise in aerial advertising campaigns, helicopter transport of large-scale structures, and precision installation in high-profile public environments. We work with global brands and agencies to create unforgettable aerial activations, combining safety, compliance, and technical excellence to bring ambitious campaign ideas to life.
