Working alongside our valued partners, the operation involved the aerial lifting and placement of new roofing materials directly onto the structure using a heavy lift helicopter solution. To minimise impact on hotel guests, surrounding businesses, and local traffic conditions, the lift was strategically scheduled for first light when environmental and operational conditions were most favourable.
The entire helicopter roof lifting operation was completed in approximately one hour, demonstrating the speed and efficiency that helicopter lifting services can provide compared to traditional crane access in complex urban environments. Throughout the project there was minimal interruption to hotel operations and no impact to neighbouring properties, infrastructure, or public access areas.
